The Value of Having a Variety of Calibers
Great video! On my model 10 I have stock smith grips and I have some pain in middle finger I was wondering with your grips being larger do they keep your knuckle off the trigger guard , John
@@MrGtopper yes they do. I kinda prefer the larger grips.
@@redneckmini14 thanks for the imfo
You got a good deal there
My grandfather owned one
I have an Iver Johnson M1 carbine in stainless steel and factory synthetic stock. From what I can see, the I-J appears to be a very close military clone. At least on the stainless model, the trigger housing is also cast/machined stainless steel.
The ppk is straight blowback. Making it in a 50,000psi cartridge wouldn't work. Some with the cheetah. It has to have a locking action. You can't just throw it into all of the cheap low effort pot Metal Guns for .380
It's mani time... Nice Henry though
Dude where are you in a toilet at a restaurant?
If only GLOCK would make a pistol in 30 Super Carry and offer a 35 round extended magazine.
Dont shoot 185 gr. Those guns only work with 230gr.
When channging stocks do you have to change forends or is that optional?
@@lfaulk36 optional, but I wanted it to match.
@redneckmini14 awesome thank you for responding
They both look the same p89 & p85
@@Ambiguous1981 I point out all the differences I found in the video.
@redneckmini14 i know I'm just saying
I think it will be a winner ,especially since you can make the cases from 3030 brass .
After the shell adapter install, will full size shells fit ?
@ronnievannostrand1092 it is easily removed for full shells. Just takes a couple seconds.
I wanted one of those so bad back in the day. I liked the Case Hardened model but never able to make it happen.
Ab-soul
Just buy a Mossberg 590S, runs mini shells from the factory, longer carrier.
@@shotgunpete7196 doesn't come in wood.
@@redneckmini14 I bought one and put WOOX wood furniture on it, beautiful!!!!
@shotgunpete7196 I prefer the standard corn cob style like this one. It's more classic looking.
@@redneckmini14 not a problem, interchangeable
I got the Nightstick laser/light forend for mine...pretty cool looking, and you can shoot from the hip with decent accuracy.
@@metamando that is another nice upgrade.
nice pistol I have one just like it, a hand cannon the 41 magnum is a hoss 👍👍
The people that hate on the 360 BH are angry 35 REM fans that don’t live in straight wall states. 360 BH fills the gap between 44 Mag and 45-70
?
Would you recommend 20ga instead?
i wish they would make lever guns affordable again
Beware patriots, my research has found that you cannot legally put a pistol brace on a shockwave-like weapon without an SBS tax stamp. The gun is not a “pistol” so an arm brace is not appropriate and would be considered a stock…. I dug deep into ATF laws to find that. The ATF is stupid… Also the swivel stud doesn’t make the length, it’s long enough without it. Sweet gun, good video
@@FullMonty-ff4no I personally wouldn't put a brace on it anyway. It defeats the purpose of the gun.
@ agreed.
I think they used the 590 barrels, because Mossberg already made the 14" for the 590 SBS.
Low on money. Aow bouble barrel
Tennis racket bag❤
Very slick shotgun get a Hogue Tamer for it
Where did you find your furniture? I’m trying to form 1 mine and find a matching stock for the wooden shockwave forend
@@1thegreaterone it came with wood already on it. The nightstick is the wood stock version.
@ thanks for the info!
You can get the woox wood furniture for the shockwave but it only comes in 12ga I think.
@sandlappersam the woox furniture is cool but I want to do an older traditional style look without all the M-Lok stuff for this build. I’ve been waiting on the mossberg site to restock the OEM stuff and looking for a place to strip and blue my shockwave
👍
Public land will allow the 360 BH in IN. THIS IS WHY IT WILL STAY.
These guys are full of shit 360 buckhammer was designed for straight wall cartridge states, and in the process of designing this, they made it out shoot and outperform ballistics wise the 30 30.. so with that said with better efficiency and better ballistics capability and another 5275 yards in killing range with the guns being pretty much identical, at least from Henry why in the hell would you want to stay with a 30 30 when you can improve range, bullet stability and killing power..?? Basically you got a bunch of guys that have 3030s and they’re invested in ammo and stuff so they’re naturally going to down the 360 buckhammer but the 360 buckhammer has proved to be the king of the hill and I don’t even think they meant for it to do that they were just trying to fulfill a need in straight wall cartridge states which is another story but you get the point so 30 30 has been around for years and I say if you want 3030 then go ahead and use it there’s no need to change but if you go out and shoot 360 buckhammer 180 grain or 200 grain you are definitely going to be more impressed with the capabilities of the ballistics
2 things. 1) you are ignoring designed capacity. Different springs have different spring rates and being able to shove an extra in there is not it being designed for it. Stand it upright and only load to capacity and tell me what happens. 2) how could you notice sights being canted with that abysmal front sight? It’s not like you can see a target of any realistic size beyond 25 yards. I have some 66% IDPA silhouettes and at 100 Meters my h009 front sight exceeds the left and right boundaries of that target. That is completely incompatible with using sights to shoot. The guys at Henry are making functioning replicas of a Marlin 336 basically and good copies but they don’t have decent sights. Most deer don’t come within 3’ of me or I would just hunt with my 357 Magnum revolver. Have you ever tried loading the tube with capacity only and not until it wouldn’t fit more in the outer magazine tube?
@gb123-ej8wh if you actually WATCHED and LISTENED to the whole video you would know that couldn't get more than 3 rounds in loading through the tube, but I can load 6 through the side gate. I can also load 6 in the tube of my 410 just fine, and 10 in the tube of my 45 Colt just fine. But clearly you were too focused on typing out a ridiculous rant about the sights to pay any attention. Sounds to me like you just suck at shooting open sights. Maybe you should stick to scopes.

From what I've read, the safety can be reversed on 37s(not all)
I also had a great experience with Henry customer service I had a commemorative 22 rifle that the brass butt plate was tarnished and wanted to buy a new butt plate to replace it. She said we don't just sell the butt plate you have to have the stock with the butt plate on it . I thought great what will that cost?? She said give me your address and we will send it free to you !! Now that is great customer service!!
You know you can polish brass don’t you? Brasso and a rag will make brass shine like new gold.
It's hard to beat Henrys service. Any company can make a mistake, but they are very fast to offer to make things right. I like the mag tube option for unloading rather than loading. It's far safer (especially with frozen fingers from the cold) to unload from the tube vs running every round through the action. The other benefit is dropping all the loaded rounds into your hand vs trying to get them to eject through the action into your hand or a hat
Henry’s CS is top notch for sure.
I think that will be my #1 favorite historical Georgia state flag of all time. Long live Brown v. Board! 🏫
For home defense distances a laser pointer would be better than a flashlight. The buckshot should hit the target pretty much where it points.
@@StevenHughes-hr5hp but you need a flashlight to identify your target in the dark.
@redneckmini14 Do they have a key and immediately switch on the lights or did they throw a brick through the window, clear away the glass and step in? Knowing how they got in generally tells you everything you need to know.
@StevenHughes-hr5hp what does that have to do with identifying your target? If it's dark you definitely want to make sure the shadowy figure you are aiming at is the intruder and not a member of your family.
Nice video. thanks for sharing. Was curious how much you paid for that shotgun as I also have one which I inherited and is in very good condition. I would like to sell it and wanted to know what you paid, if you would like to share. Thanks!
@SethFronk I paid $250 I think, which was really cheap, even back then.
360 BH operates at 50,000 PSI It is basically a modern straight walled 356 Winchester . Problem is , I’m not sure Marlin 336 or Rossi R95 can handle the pressure the 350BH produces I know that 356 Winchester was downloaded to operate in the 336 and Winchester actually made a different action for the 94 to handle the pressure..
Good stuff.
I originally invested in the highly praised Thermold magazines…..they were crap!!
Is that a Boyds stock on your 10/22? Looks nice!
No it is a distributor exclusive 10/22. I'm not sure if they offer this one anymore, but I like it.
I'm surprised Ruger, in particular, has not produced/chambered any one of their well established smaller handguns with 30SC, to go along with their chambering in most of these with both 380ACP and 9mm. IMO, the perfect application for this round isn't the high-capacity, double-stack configuration, but an ultra-slim, single-stack design. One of these excellent small platform could go from 6-8 rounds of 380ACP or 9mm to 9-10 30SC, while maintaining the ultra-slim design. So, while the PPK may have some design issues related to adoption of a higher-pressure round like 30SC, I believe your reasoning is spot-on. The best option for this modern, awesome, hotrod of a little cartridge is a chambering in an existing platform, especially ones currently chambered for 380ACP.
Nice gun ... All these guys on UA-cam Shooting The 410 they bought for their girlfriend and wife or just kids maybe, wink wink come on guys they are FUN TO SHOOT and have plenty of punching power with today's modem rounds.
@lakeforkwiring I bought this one for my wife because she has bad shoulders. It is our primary home defense shotgun. Definitely a good choice in my book. Very fun to shoot too.
I own both I like the 500 only because the safety is placed in a better place & the trigger guard is metal.
Keep in mind that there are millions of us living in areas that now allow straight wall cartridges and have been using slug guns for decades. Just that market alone will not only keep the 360 BH successful, but I expect to see significant improvements in ballistics as new loads are developed. Also, as long as brass and bullets are available this caliber can go forever with reloading.
@@johnm.9989 I hope to see some new ammo loads come SHOT show. I really want to try this new core lokt tipped loading and compare it to the soft points.
@@redneckmini14 I agree. I also hope that Hornady will load the 360 Buckhammer in LeverRevolution ammo, which should extend the range a bit.
😀Nice
Iowa used to be a strait wall state but now allows bottle necks over 35 cal. I honestly think 350 legend is an excellent cartridge and I will continue to use it for hunting but I feel like 360 bucket is gaining steam, slowly but it’s gaining. It was just released at the wrong time while 350 legend was super popular and everyone had already hopped on that wagon but I feeling like it’s coming around and I certainly plan on picking up a Henry X model in 360 very soon.
